Biografia de Streetlight Manifesto

New Jersey ska-punk band Streetlight Manifesto grew out of two similar late-'90s groups from the region, One Cool Guy and Catch-22. Their brassy, upbeat brand of music backs lyrics delivered with all the vocal speed of a hardcore punk singer courtesy of vocalist Tomas Kalnoky. Their debut album, Everything Goes Numb, came out in 2003 on Victory Records. Endless touring over the next two years with bands like Whole Wheat Bread, Mu330, Bedouin Soundclash, and Gym Class Heroes followed despite member changes and strokes of bad luck. In October 2005, the band was robbed of nearly $80,000 worth of equipment and possessions from its van, only to suffer another robbery while on tour in Europe the very next month. Streetlight Manifesto ended the year on the road with the Tossers on the brief (and appropriately titled) Please Stop Robbing Us Tour. Keasbey Nights, a re-recorded version of the 1998 Catch-22 album, followed in March 2006. That summer, the band could be found as openers on a nationwide Reel Big Fish and MxPx co-headlining tour. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
